This has been one of my biggest worries… moving several square feet to just about no square feet at all (this is relating to the possibilities of living in the Big Apple… obviously.) But this little tiny space has swept all the fears out of mind! I love this little space! It is so well put together and feels so cozy. All in all, honestly, it is probably 500 square feet, or LESS! This is craziness. I am realizing how selective one would have to be in deciding what goes into the apartment. You can’t just bring ANYTHING home! It would always have to be “just the perfect thing” because who has space for things that aren’t? And don’t even get my started on the closet…
WHERE DO THE CLOTHES GO?!
Anyway, Design Sponge Blog features people’s spaces and the owners tell why they love their places. It’s my favorite series… I love to see how other people live. See HERE!
Estee, this little space is reminding me of your little New York loft… you lucky little chica.
don’t worry. we lived in a studio/loft apartment that was hardly 500 sq ft & we both absolutely loved it. we ended up h a v i n g to move, but we loved it when we were there. & you just get creative for storage, especially with your clothes!
I know!!! I heard your apartment was sooo cute! And then I heard you had to move! So sad! What did you do for clothes? Wish I would have seen it… I love that building in Provo.
So cute! You would make any space amazing no matter how small.
we had one closet so we had to condense our (mine) clothes by season. since we were there in the summer we were lucky cause we didn’t have that many bulky items! we also had a dresser that austin used for a while, but then he got crafty. after watching the tiny spaces video on ikea’s site, he decided to make himself his own closet out of a book shelf & a clothes rod in our loft & i then got the rest of the closet… so it was pretty convenient! haha you just get creative. i kept my jeans folded on a bookshelf that was also used as our pantry.. you just go with it!
You gotta be innovative, that’s for sure… good thing we have crafty husbands 🙂
Everything I purchase, as far a furniture goes, has to have storage space! So wherever you move you still have most of your storage space with you. Even my spare bedroom/office has a twin bed that has 6 drawers under it! The bed is higher off the ground but I kind of like that!
That is such a good idea! You would definitely need to have that in a space like this. Drawers under the bed is a good thought… for any house really…
I am realizing that less is more. When we moved out of the StoneCliff house and rented that small apartment I was as happy as a clam. Remember your room Lauren? Your mattress filled the whole room.
Yes I think that is actually one of my favorite rooms! I loved that I was able to look over that little open window to the downstairs… I thought it was so cool. I remember long hours on the phone with boys, sitting out on the roof of that place. HAHA did you know I did that?!
No, I did not know that. I would have had a heart attack.
Stop it! I would kill for that natural lighting!!! Such a perfect space. Swoon.
MEEEE TOOOOO!!!!! I want to see your guys’ place! It looks so cool!
