scenes from the weekend // bike rides and bonfires

Bahhhh!!!!! I love it here!!!! Saturday morning was just warm enough to take a bike ride to Swami’s cafe for some Huevos Rancheros and their famous Acai Fruit Bowl. (I had goosebumps the whole way, but as long as the sun is out, I will be wearing shorts.) We browsed surf shops, stopped the ice cream truck, and made a visit to the Elizabethan Bakery across the street… which proved to be divine. (And all the girls dress up like Rosy the Riveter look-a-likes which only sweetens the experience.) We gathered our friends, supplies, and tin foil dinners and gathered around a stubborn bonfire. Perfect end to a perfect day.

Thanks friends! I love you!

Darling picture of the two of you. I love your new life too. I want to live there and walk on down to the beach any time I feel like it. I just know you’re going to be so happy in your new place. Keep that sun shining in your heart. Love ya.

Living in California seems infinitely better than here in Northern Ireland – we have beautiful beaches too but our weather is so poor in the summer!

Oh, I’m not sure about that… Northern Ireland is BEAUTIFUL!! Somewhere I have always wanted to visit!
