Dusty Beatty – Fall with Old Navy

Dusty Beatty: the fifth member of our family. She came to us without notice and we fell hard for her. ???? Clay found her on Craigslist, we hadn’t even really considered buying an old bus… but it just felt right, and I was smitten!

We got her to bring us a little more bonded family time and a lot more adventure! We’ve started a bunch of family traditions: pizza nights, going out to breakfast on the weekends, taking her to the beach loaded with all of our beach gear… I hope my boys remember these times in our old Volkswagen Bus! It doesn’t go very fast, top speed is about 55 mph, so you really can’t be in a hurry when we take it out. I love that is forces us to slow down, be laid back and focus on the present.

I am loving this season at Old Navy! So many pieces scream that 70’s vibe. The shearling details on my denim jacket, velvet tops, Ezra’s shearling retro zip-up and alllll the throwback flannel! I am loving it all.

I talked about it in my insta-story, but what I love most about this outfit is how versatile it is. Honestly, this is me… and if I am given the choice I ALWAYS choose dressing down. But this velvet top + black high waist denim could TOTALLY go the opposite direction: Style with a heel and peacoat for a classier, “we’re going out tonight” look!
